Phil was a pleasure to deal with, quoted quickly and completed perfectly the stripping of old woodchip paper throughout our hallway, stairs and landing. He was a perfectionist with it all, going above and beyond the original quote in order to get the job done. Phil also offered much advice that we’ll be taking on board and will be using his services again no doubt,

Work involved removal of a fitted wardrobe, disposing of the remains and redecorating the alcove by stripping off mould-covered wallpaper, making good and painting the wall which was done to a good standard. All tidily done, plus the late addition of two further jobs - obtaining and fitting a new handle to the front door and the replacement of a ceiling light fitting which was done by an associate. Good service, recommended.

Removal Services

Emet with phil a couple of times and he was very easy to work with. With regards to the job... Unfortunately I had to call it off as I decided to go another way, but the work they did in the first 3 days was great! IM sure if we had carried in with it I would be able to give 5 stars

I have artex on my bathroom ceiling and walls, what is best to get it off? Of can I just plaster over it?

Hi Rachel, Yes you are able to plaster straight over your existing artex. You will find many plasterers have different ways of skimming over artex but my preferred method would be to use a bonding coat 1st and then I would apply a coat of multi finish plaster to achieve a smooth flat finish ready for painting. Including the prepartion work and plastering work I would say this is a 2 day job and for labour and materials I would expect a cost of around £350-£450. I hope this helps answers your question many thanks Phil Pg Maintenance Services

We currently have artex on most interior walls down stairs and wall paper in the rooms upstairs. Looking to get all walls 'smoothed' over to paint. I'm not sure who to look for or what to ask for in terms of rendering/plastering/polishing etc.

Hi Candyce, To help you with covering the existing artex I would suggest you look for a local plasterer. Most plastering firms will be competent enough to complete the wallpaper removal and also the plastering. Thanks Phil Pg Maintenance Services
