Chris and his son Matthew were a very good team who worked reliably, efficiently and were polite and considerate at all times. Their work was of a high standard and they cleaned up after each day. The job was finished on time within six working days. The skip was removed immediately and the scaffolding was removed within 2 days of finishing. The price was competitive with no hidden costs and they were willing to do one or two small extras within the original quote. I am pleased to recommend them highly.

Chris and team were excellent, weather permitting, they were here early and worked to a high standard. Finished on time to the quoted price - no nasty surprises! We are very pleased with the finished job - a full reroof, and would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Had the whole house re-roofed. From the first meeting, through answering all my stupid questions, by patiently explaining the options Chris was excellent. He gave me a very competitive price. He started and finished on time. He kept me informed. Everywhere was left clean and tidy each day. He even threw in a few other helpful bits and pieces at no extra charge. I can highly recommend Chris of South Cheshire Roofing. Very highly.

I contacted Chris as some holes had appeared between the ridge tiles on our slate roof which I noticed from the loft space. I knew that some of the ridges were in a poor state. Chris came and inspected the roof on an agreed date and contacted me with his findings, he had also taken some photos. We arranged for Chris to do the repair work which he carried out on the date arranged. He said that if we had anymore problems over the winter that he would come around and sort them for us. I would recommend SCR.

Great advice and very reliable to deal with. Very helpful even though we didn't own the property we were quoting for and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely look to use them in the future.

SOUTH CHESHIRE ROOFING answered questions about Bricklayer

's question
Tue 26 Nov 2013 10:46am

We have been told that because the roof pitch is only 12degs then the tiles need to be replaced it has been ok for the last four years but now water is running into the cavity at the end of the extension and coming in through the window reviels. Can you recommend a suitable tile to replace these existing ones.

Hi The lowest pitch tile you can use is a marley Wessex roof tile but I still think the pitch is to shallow. The only other thing is to strip it off and lay furrings down the spars to increase the pitch. Chris southcheshireroofing

How can I get rid of roof condensation

  • Chris Ocego's Answer

Hi Janet Have you had your roof insulated recently? You could also try putting vent tiles/slates in to improve air circulation. Hopes this helps Chris @southcheshireroofing
