Tim was very professional throughout and explained everything that needed to be done in our bathroom. He went over and above what was expected throughout the job and i would certainly use him again and would highly recommend him too others. Thanks Tim!

Bathroom fitter

Whilst Tim was accommodating and very courteous regrettable the work was poorly executed, poorly finished and way below expectations. Unfortunately unable to recommend. We will need to spend more money to rectify the poor standard of workmanship. All in all very unsatisfactory.

Tim, MCAuley & Paulus the Plasterer not forgetting the Electrician did a splendid Job in refitting a new Bathroom Suite with a Shower, nothing was a problem for Tim doing little extra work, whatever we asked for he did and included this in his quote. We are so proud of our new Bathroom. thanks Tim and the team. We would certainly recommend Tim Thomas to our Family and Friends.

Kitchen Specialist

Tim designed and installed our kitchen to our entire satisfaction. He and his son Macauley worked tirelessly and finished the job on time. We considered the price to be very competitive indeed, and excellent value for money. They were very friendly , flexible to our requirements , and very, very clean and tidy workers. I can recommend them without any reservation whatsoever. Tim is an experienced, first class plumber.

Bathroom fitter

Tim completely transformed our bathroom. He helped us with the design and made sensible and workable suggestions for a relatively small bathroom. The result is a beautiful, bright and seemingly more spacious bathroom which is exactly what we wanted. Tim was completely reliable and made every effort to achieve the look we wanted. Tim was also very accommodating with our extra requests. Thank you very much for all your help. We look forward to working with you again.

's question
Wed 23 Mar 2016 12:5pm

We have a gravity fed system and an 8.5kw electric shower which is not powerful or warm enough. We are looking to upgrade it as part of a bathroom installation. Are the newer 9kw electric showers better (e.g. Mira Sport Max) or would we be better to upgrade our cable and get a 10.8kw electric shower? Alternatively is a mixer shower and pump a better idea?

9kv would be better and Mira is a very good make , but you have poor mains pressure won't make a lot of difference, thermostatic shower and pump would cost around £300 , good Mira probably slightly more. , of the pump you have more hot water , from the hot water tank compare to a tiny instant heater in a electric shower, thermostatic shower the water is mix giving better control over the temperature

Would a tiler prefer to remove the tiles or are they happy for the customer to do it?

I am bathroom fitter do the complete bathroom, moving old I would prefer to do it myself , if stuck on plasterboard you would probably need to take out the plasterboard as well, ,you need to move eg toilet ,basin .there is also a knack in getting old tiles of. If it some who only tile he probably wouldnt remove the tiles, wouldn't repair the wall, .best is get trademan that is more a builder he would take of the tiles repairs , skim them if necessary and tile
