Bricklayer

Following a leak in our roof, the work was for a removal of a redundant chimney stack and the battening and re tiling immediate area. Joe had provided a competitive quote, arrived on time. Work done in a clean and tidy manner. I’ve only rated 3* for quality, as at this time, it is too soon soon to tell if new tiles and work has resolved leak and it has been fixed.

Bricklayer

They fixed the pointing on walls as per the original job which looked great when finished, the following week they also took care of a leaky piece of guttering, re-fixed 5 loose ridge tiles, removed moss from roof with broom and emptied the guttering after. They were delayed getting here but did advise with a text.

I contacted Joe to help my mum out with a leaking garage and kitchen roof. He was very helpful, visiting the property to give a quote and followed up on his quite by checking it was competitive. The job was done quickly to a very high standard and along with a 15 year guarantee, has given my mum peace of mind. Very pleased to have found him on ratedpeople.com

Who do i need to contact a roofer or builder? I think we are lacking ventilation. It may be that the eves are blocked or we need a ventilation tile.

A roofer will be best suited. Ventilation tiles or soffit vents usually dose the trick.

I have a damp patch which, with all the recent rain, is spreading quite rapidly. It is mainly on the flank wall and front wall. I think it is an issue with perished pointing rather than roof or gutters. I realise that it's not really the right time of year for re-pointing but would welcome any advice. I don't want the damp to spread too far.

Hi June, after reading your message I recommend you get your wall re pointed ASAP as the weather we are having at the moment is not doing no good at all to your wall. Ideally summertime is always better to do any work but it's certainly a job that's need sorting now rather than later as it will cause much more damage. There are mixes to put in a cement mix that stops any frost setting in. Hope we have helped .
