Better service

Posted by Edward Thompson, on
Now that the improved leads and loss of report a lead function have been in operation for a few months perhaps Rated would like to survey their customers to ask them what they think of the IMPROVEMENTS! I know how keen they are on sending out these surveys to improve their service and surely it would be a good idea to get the opinion of the end users. I look forward to completing this survey very soon, or will they be too scared to hear what we have to say about their so called improvements!

I,ve done your job for you, a mini survey free of charge! The answer is things are worse not better, all you have done is upset all your customers. It's time to do the right thing and BRING BACK REPORT A LEAD.

I've already raised this a little while ago and completely agree that those paying for the leads should be asked about the improvements For me its not an improvement. The lead costs don't appear to be cheaper as promised and I'm very cautious before buying leads as there are just as many timewasting 'potential' customers out there posting jobs. I cant see how RP are making any more money that they were before as I'm fairly sure tradesmen re not competing for jobs in the same way - for instance, unless its a big budget job - such as refurbishment, where the customer would be daft not to get 3 quotes, I don't bother buying the lead unless I'm the first. Add insult to injury - just after informing us they'd made so called improvements, we get asked to complete patronising and meaningless surveys on whether customers offer tea and biscuits whilst doing work for them - just not at all helpful BRING BACK THE REPORT A LEAD FUNCTION AND MAKE THE WORK OF BIDDING FOR JOBS MORE COMPETATIVE !!

In my opinion the leads have got worse not better since Xmas I have bought 6leads with wrong numbers and when you email to complain you just get an automated response saying sorry there is nothing we can do that is wrong we are paying for phone and email info and are only get one that's not what we pay for as regards the request a call back feature I have used it a dozen times and not had one call back when my membership runs out I am off if it doesn't change

If I had to Rate "RATED PEOPLE" I would give them a 2 out of 10. I'm very cautious when buying leads now and when my credits run out I'm out of here.

I fail to see any improvement from the lead purchaser point of view although Ratedpeople will have save themselves a few pounds S.R.Tuckey

Totally agree with you Edward-just about given up on them-lost £100 so far on clients that sourced outside R/P-and did you see any sign of a price drop? Dont think so!

We are being told that on average tradesmen win one in four jobs well I can't see how this works when you can only contact one in four customers (if your lucky) I have used the request,a call back a dozen times so far and only had one response and that was an email to tell me the customer had already told rated people to cancel the job as she no longer needed it doing. If the changes came about because of a survey they did then why not do a survey now to see if we are happy with the changes I don't think it will happen because they know what the answer will be

This business about winning 1 in 4 of jobs purchased is rubbish at the moment I am lucky if I can contact 1 in 4 let alone win the jobs I don't know where they get their figures from you can't win jobs without making contact it would be like me getting paid for my jobs but only actually doing 25% of them I don't think I would last for long like that

Rated people Team. Funny you havent commented on any of the questions raised I would like a forum added to this site purely for the tradesman. And i mean the tradesman with good percentages of positive ratings. Get rid of ask an expert. Bob a jobs are using our knowledge to do jobs . I doubt it very much if RP respond

I have seen no reduction in lead prices, and even though I am lucky enough not to have to buy many leads when there is a problem I feel RP are very "hands off" uninterested in what happens after the lead is sold, I also feel that the RP site has now got a reputation for home owners looking for a very cheap job done, RP need to be more involved instead of letting the site run it`s self, more monitoring of listings before they are posted on the site, if the budget has been set way too low or too high, all posts should have to say if it is supply and fix or labour only as this has a massive effect on the viability of the lead. intervene before it goes on the site for goodness sake it`s not rocket science, budget is important but quality work and good service is how we work and so I am considering leaving the site. Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the changes to our service. We removed Report a Lead and replaced it with our new Request a callback feature, after gathering continuous feedback from tradesmen throughout the year prior to the change. The request a callback is designed to help you contact the homeowner, as we found that tradesmen wanted us to do more to help them get in touch to quote. As an introductory service, I'm afraid we're unable to guarantee how a customer will behave after posting a job, however we have worked to lower our prices by 10% and improve our job forms in order to improve your experience with us. With the added information, you are now better informed of the details of a job and a customer's intent prior to purchasing that job. We've found that our most successful tradesmen don't rely on individual leads for success with us and instead buy multiple leads, understanding that 1 in 4 leads will provide them with a job, to make 20x their money back in total. Despite this, I would like to reassure you that we do take all feedback on board. As I'm sure you can appreciate, our Ask an Expert team is not in a position to reverse these changes for you. However, I would encourage you to contact our customer support team if you would like to discuss this further: http://www.ratedpeople.com/contact-us/contact-us-form. They will be able to provide you with information and advice. Best Wishes, Natalie The Ask an Expert Team

Rated people needs to be honest. It costs money to buy a lead.the clients do not answer their phone and it costs me £50 Surely this is not right. People leaving because of this.

craig boulton

Hi Edward, I haven't really noticed any improvements, the issue is that there are to many people working at low costs on here with no insurance etc, i would only accept contractors who have full health and safety policies and insurance Thanks Craig
