Eves ventilation

Posted by Roy Millard, on
I had my fascias, soffits and gutting replaced last year but have since noticed that they did not provide any form of left ventilation. Could you tell how essential this is and what I could do about it retrospectively.

Hi Roy- My opinion based on experience is that depending on your roofing felt and your loft space it's self that vents are always a necessity of course they do help but they just aren't always If you find that you are having damp problems or condensation appearing on the roofing felt then these are signs that more ventilation is needed. However if you would rather be safe than sorry then soffit vents could be installed at a fairy low reasonable cost and provide air flow. Lewis Manor roofing repairs
