How do I stop Mould happening in the top corners of my walls?

Posted by Ashley Cree, on
Hi I have Mould in the top corners of all 3 of my bedrooms & also get dampness which runs down one wall. I have had the roof checked, 4 vents in the roof fitted, new guttering/ fascia boards, new windows & my loft is really well insulated. We do open windows & don’t dry clothes in the rooms. Other half hates the heating on so we don’t have it on a lot even in the winter. At a loss what to do next hate the Mould in the kids bedrooms. I do clean it of regularly & it just keeps coming back. Not looking forward to the winter. Any advice would be greatly received. Thanks

First thing to Check is that your insulation in the loft goes right into the corners where your getting the problem. If you have a bit that’s not insulated even if it’s quite small you get a situation where the temperature on both sides of the plasterboard is different can cause condensation to gather on the warmer side.
