This was a job of two halves. The first bit was tiling a floor - 2 day job, done to a very high quality and excellent service. 2nd bit was a bathroom. Despite the heat and the challenge caused by using small tiles, again high quality job, with excellent communication throughout. Very pleased with the end results, but also with the service and support from Stewart. I have no hesitation in recommending Skillz.

Fantastic job by Stewart who turned up when he said and did a great job very quickly. He charged less than he quoted as it was a bit easier than we thought. Really nice guy too.

Stewart takes pride in his work and will not rest until the job, however small it might be, is completed as agreed. I am very happy with my new bathroom taps and kitchen sink + tap and even though they seemed straight forward replacements it was not the case due to difficult access. I will most certainly use Skillz Builders in the future.

We found this company through 'rated people'. From the outset we thought highly of the company and this was proved to be right as they did a very good job. The 'team' was excellent and easy to get along with. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Bathroom fitter

Stewart has been amazing from the first phone call. He gave me so much time and advice before the work started. From day 1 on the job he was dedicated and professional. He kept me informed daily on the progress of the job as due to my working hours we could not meet face to face. The job came in on budget and the level of work was outstanding. So much so I have asked Stewart to do some more work for me and he will always be my go to person.

Kitchen Specialist

I wouldn't hesitate to use Stewart again. He was great. There were a lot of issues and mess ups with the delivery of the kitchen and Stewart time and again went above and beyond to help me and get everything sorted. He was patient and understanding and nothing was too much bother. Stewart did a fantastic job on the tiling and the finish on the worktops was impressive. Thank you so much for all your help Stewart. Its really appreciated.

This was first fix for a bathroom and it s difficult to comment on the work because I have no understanding of the technicalities. I have no hesitation in asking them to complete the work and will be better placed to comment when it is finished. DP

Ashley Cree's question

Hi I have Mould in the top corners of all 3 of my bedrooms & also get dampness which runs down one wall. I have had the roof checked, 4 vents in the roof fitted, new guttering/ fascia boards, new windows & my loft is really well insulated. We do open windows & don’t dry clothes in the rooms. Other half hates the heating on so we don’t have it on a lot even in the winter. At a loss what to do next hate the Mould in the kids bedrooms. I do clean it of regularly & it just keeps coming back. Not looking forward to the winter. Any advice would be greatly received. Thanks

First thing to Check is that your insulation in the loft goes right into the corners where your getting the problem. If you have a bit that’s not insulated even if it’s quite small you get a situation where the temperature on both sides of the plasterboard is different can cause condensation to gather on the warmer side.

Can I convert my garage without affecting my neighbors garage?

Yes, you should be able to. All of the insulating etc is normally done from the inside and usually doesn’t even touch the wall as it’s preferable to have an air gap.
