I have wired hundreds of kitchens. Expect to pay minimum around £500 for kitchen and consumer unit. once the kitchen is removed there will be wiring issues uncovered. remember you need a certificate for the work and building regs certificate. Make sure gas and water bonding is also in the price

In my opinion you should expect to pay around £500 minimum. There may well be issues which mean additional work would be required - often bonding to gas and water are insufficient and an electrician should be carrying out a test of the installation to be able to provide you with an "Electrical Installation Certificate" on completion. This work is also notifiable to building control under Part P of the building regulations.
