4mm cable?

Posted by bob parsons, on
I have a 6000w electric instantaneous hot water system. I think the amps are 20 to 25 amps. What size cable do I need, is 4mm enough

You have to take the cable run into consideration too , however I would run a 6mm in and you should be fine , unless it's an industrial unit and it's over say 50 metres from the consumer unit

Hi there. I'm afraid it's not quite that simple there are other factors that come into play, including cable length and how it is being run. It would be best to get a qualified electricians to carry out the work if you are not totally certain of what you are doing. Thanks. Mark
