Cormac was very professional, he asked where I wanted the light fittings, he also took down the old ones and left the house very clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician, he came when he said he would unlike two other electricians I contacted.

Owen 's question
Tue 28 Jan 2020 21:34pm

How difficult/expensive is it to increase amperage from 32 to 45 from fuse box to kitchen assuming wire gauge is currently insufficient in order to install a cooker requiring 45amp minimum?

  • Cormac Devine's Answer
    Mon 3 Feb 2020 19:14pm

To install a new cooker you need to know the exact wattage of the new cooker and depending of the size you would need to upgrade it from a 6mm to a 10mm twin and earth cable but it depends on the location of the consumer unit in relation to the cooker point and if floor boards upstairs or an attic space roughly between 150 to 200 to replace and hook up

Hi there If you go to screw fix for the hub is usually between 100 and 130 and the hub is in around 50 to 70 but it’s best to shop around amazon have deals as well as other retailers but it is in around 200 to complete your system hope this helps cormac devine crd electrical.
