Superb service all round! Contacted within minutes of posting my job. Various options explained to me during a site visit and within a few days I had received written estimates. Upon confirming my choices a start-date was quickly agreed. Dave turned-up on time and worked diligently over 1.5 days while politely dealing with my many questions and then taking time to explain how to best use the boiler controls and thermostat. All done with minimum disruption or mess. I'm very pleased with everything.

Rang beforehand to give a more accurate estimated time of arrival. Gas Engineer was courteous, friendly and explained/showed fault. Costs were as expected. Pay on receipt of the invoice and not on day. Definitely have this company on speed dial for future!

Hi I am looking to install a combi bolier as currently have a gravity feed system. The water pressure in the shower is not fast and I am looking to install a rain shower. By installing the combi will it increase the water pressure to the shower. I want a have a system whereby there is good pressure for the rain shower to perform at a high fast pressure way.

The key fact here is your water pressure and flow to the building, the system you have is irrelevant when fitting a combi as it relies on the incoming water pressure. So the pressure and flow you get from your cold tap is all you will get from a combi. For example your bath fills slower with a combi. If you want a really powerful shower then most people retain the gravity fed tank and cylinder and fit a pump unit, that will give flow and pressure depending on the pump you fit. You can get power showers with pumps in but again many do not work with a combi., and electric power showers such as the Triton Aspirante Power Shower work at 14 litres a minute which is mains pressure. Hope this helps you

Can you provide me some info as to the cause of the above and likely cost to repair?

Hello It depends on the type of shower, if it is electric our advice is to replace the same and replacement costs start at around £ 160 + vat for a basic shower. If the shower is a mixer valve or bar, the fault may be in the seals, in our experience they never repair perfectly as the body of the shower wears, this then leads to customer dissatisfaction with the cost of the repair, so again we recommend replacement, the cost would be £ 250 + vat upwards depending on type of shower.
