Tom did a great job. He was able to come round the same afternoon that I posted the job and solved the problem immediately. He was professional and friendly throughout.

Tom was brilliant. He even offered t come out late on a Sunday when I had drilled through a cable. My fault entirely Excellent work and reliability. Highly recommended

Tom was very efficient - he called me within 20 minutes of registering the enquiry, he was then able to attend my home to provide a quote at any time to suit me. He turned up at our house the day after moving in and he was friendly and professional. He carried out thorough testing to my consumer unit and wiring rings (no call out charge or price for quoting) and confirmed it would be a flat fee to carry out the work - very reasonably priced and very professional. We'll definitley be using TQS again.

Tom called me within an hour of listing my job and came out to provide a quote the same day. I did not get any other quotes for the job so i’m unsure how competitive the pricing was, but Tom came across very well and I was happy with the price. I would definitely use this company again.

Very pleased with all the work we have had done, from the initial visit where he completed thorough checks and tests we knew Tom was the right person for the job. He offered lots of helpful advice and is very knowledgeable on all the technical regulations we needed to adhere to. He arrived on time and worked efficiently. We had a new consumer unit fitted as well as several light fittings, switches and plug sockets changed. We will definitely have Tom back for any future electrical work we need doing!

Tom was incredibly prompt and professional throughout this job. He went above and beyond with initial checks and then the main job. Not only was he courteous and thorough but his ability to explain the situation to a Novice was very welcome. I would absolutely recommend Tom to anybody with a problem.

Within an hour of posting my job Tom was at my door to give his quote. He explained everything he was doing and when he gave said quote, which although more than a previous one, he also explained the reason for the price difference. I asked if he could wait until after the weekend whilst I waited for other quotes and he was very polite and understanding. I got in touch on the Monday and he was at my house on Tuesday to do the job. I found him and his work incredibly professional.

A clear and concise quote delivered in a professional manner. The installation was carried out efficiently and within the predicted time, there were no unexpected extras. A job well done.

's question

I have recently had a 8.5kw electric shower fitted and it has so far blown x3 30 amp fuses. Can I replace the 30 amp fuse with a 40 amp MCB?

Hi tony Tom Martin is correct, however i need to add, your shower is required to have RCD protection in line and from what I can gather from your description it doesn't I strongly recommend you to get an electrician and have this remedied

I have had a new consumer unit fitted by a "rated people" tradesman and have a question for him but for some reason he doesn't seem to want to talk to me. The question I want to ask is there are 2 circuit breakers that are marked "mains sockets". If I switch one specific one off, it appears that all the sockets in the house go off. when I switch the second one, nothing seems to go off anywhere. is this simply explained by the fact the the second one is not connected to anything or should I be concerned??

Or potentially the mcb could be servicing a single socket somewhere in the property
