All of our trades people are fully qualified and Stephen is Chartered member of the Institute of Building, which involves a rigorous application process.
An excellent job, let down only slightly by taking too much time to get the job right. I would certainly recommend SMG if you want craftsmanship quality.

-10 Do not use a guy from Grimsby called Ryan. Felted small shed roof, very few roofing tacks used and was not sealed down. No removal of old felting only patched up. Blown off within TWO Weeks was a total Botched Up Job, quoted £500 then told needed another £200 after job done...Just taken advantage of an elderly man.

We have been trying to contact you for months with no reply, if you wish to discus you have our contact details. The scaffolding was passed to me through an arrangement with my previous builder, Regardless of that argmt it was not yours to take or keep. I agreed for you to borrow it for 2 weeks in July and have not heard or seen from you since nor has it been returned.I would hardly class this as professional behaviour.The above is factual info, would hate for anyone else to suffer the same.
My job was completed within a couple of days of being added to the site, within our budget and to a high standard. The guys were friendly and polite. Will certainly use them again.
if you want flat roof work done, don't go to this guy. Poor workmanship.

Very expensive for poor quality work
I am a sole trader with 10years experience in plumbing. I specialise in bathrooms and kitchens. I work very closely with a plasterer so can save the need for you having to look for a variety of tradesmen.
Early Communication wasn't great. Failed to mention that job only done Evenings & Weekends as in full time work - Only advised after old suite removed. Quality of work was good but finishing touches let him down a bit. Had to wash off tile adhesive from ceiling and paint it myself. Felt rushed towards end of job. Initially said rubbish would be cleared - half way through job advised he could find someone to clear it but would be extra fee!

Despite being told that he would contact me once he had received the parts of the window he needed, I have heard nothing for the past week. I will now need to find someone else who can get the job done. I wouldn't mind if he could not get the parts, but he has not contacted me either way, and so, I have been left wondering what is happening. I have left messages on his phone, but have heard nothing more.

quoted the job, booked in for the 3 days work, confirmed days. Tried to contact the week of the job to check on what time they would like to start no answer, and didnt turn up at all with zero communication. Avoid.
Turned up, nice chap. Good discussion and agreed that he would get back to us with outline plans. Never heard from him again.
Derek Clarke failed to complete the work as promised.he is a lowlife and he is still people 7 years later

The wall looks fine but instead of 4 days it took 3weeks to complete and the whole area was left dirty and the lawn in a mess.

Reasonable job but following issues. 1) Expensive maybe 30% higher than competition feel ripped off. 2) wall corners are showing large cracks after only 1 week. 3) I had to ask for them to clean up after themselves and also put dust sheets down at the start. 4) Offered hose so they could mix away from the house, but they refused and proceeded to mix holding bucket up the wall damaging my box hedging. 5) rendered walls have not been done below skirting board level, so i need to fill gaps myself in the wall.
This person never phoned me to arrange a visit so I cannot score them. I contacted another plumber myself

I was contacted by the tradesman and arranged to come and quote me, the 1st night he said he was running late and would come the following night. He just never showed up without a call or text. I got someone else to do it.
