Came to provide a no obligations quote which seemed high; when challenged told justified it by cost of the replacement part and how RatedPeople takes just to get the job details. Turns out the replacement part wasn't the high-end German engineering he said it was, so the price was at least 3x overstated. Knew his stuff and fixed everything quickly but don't be rushed into accepting a quote. Got slightly unpleasant when challenged on the quote as well.

I've had over 10 years experience. Jobs I undertake are general handyman job like electrical, plumbing, central heating, power flushing central heating, painting decorating,kitchen and bathroom refit, fencing and groundworks. You can really do just about anything! How I normally charge is call out charge of £100 this covers the first hour then £50 an hour thereafter plus materials/ parking. Some services are charged at a different rate for example: emergency call out and weekend rate is normally higher rate. • power flush to central heating system charge is £450 including all chemicals and inhibitor to the system this covers six radiators any more than 6 radiators there is an extra charge at £100 per radiator extra .
