As a traditional time served stonemason of nearly 30 years SVQ level 3 (PDA level 6) stonemasonry certificate and a (PDA level 7) Advanced stonemasonry certificate. well versed in conservation and restoration practices working to the highest of standards and keeping jobs cost effective .Customer care and satisfaction is the main aim at mdstone.
Mark came out at short notice (over the weekend) to quote for work. Work needed wasn't quite in his area but he gave some very helpful advice.

The job was a complete en-suite shower room renovation. The existing fixtures and fittings were removed and a complete new suite installed. This requires alterations to one of the walls to increase the size of the room, and plasterwork in the en-suite and adjoining room. The wall and floor were completely tiled and new lighting, shower, basin and WC were fitted. The reason that Wayne got the job was that he appeared very professional from the outset. He arrived right on time, was knowledgeable, willing to provide ideas and provided a detailed written quote and work schedule. He allowed me the option of choosing my own materials, which he would then purchase for me to save me any hassle. He dealt with the suppliers and took delivery of the goods. One other confidence booster is the fact that he didn't take a penny until the job was complete and I was completely satisfied. Once the job began, minor changes to the specification weren't a problem. Wayne accepted changes, and provided verbal cost updates if the change had a cost impact. I would have to say that he is more than fair in terms of the additional cost of his labour and didn't take a mark-up on materials. Throughout the job he was very punctual, and his work ethic was exceptional. He obviously takes great pride in what he does, and it shows in the finished product. I would certainly recommend Wayne.
Flexible when job changed as we went along. Got rid of rubbish for me and did a great job of cleaning up after himself.
The job was carried out in a highly professional manner from start to finish - from the first visit, to the very reasonable estimate speedily delivered, through to completion on the agreed date. These people are absolutely first class! They are extremely courteious and helpful, and we would definitely use them again, and recommend them to anyone.

Rody started the work as agreed and was very committed to having it completed to a high standard working weekends and late nights, done more than was agreed. Required a tree to be felled due to storm damage and all wood etc to be removed. I telephoned Scott Geddes who came out within 2 days and provided a quote to carry out the work. The work was carried out quickly and I would highly recommend him to other people.

Paul did a great job cutting a very large Leyland hedge as well as other trees. He removed all cuttings and left the garden tidy. Would highly recommend for any gardening work.

I am very pleased with the service recieved from Alex. He quicky provided a competitive quote and arranged to get the work done on a Saturday morning. It involved the repair of an external door and he moved other jobs around so he could get to this sooner because it affected the security of the building. The repair looks great and he has painted the door frame for us. Alex even agreed to adjusting a door closer whilst there at no extra charge. I will use McLaurin Joinery again.
