What is the difference between an EICR and a PAT test?

It tests the consumer unit, internal wiring, light fittings, and main plug sockets hidden inside walls. It is a legal requirement for UK landlords every 5 years.

Needed a new consumer unit (fuse box to us laypeople) to replace my ancient one and do an EICR. Based on the quote for the work I also added a hard wired for alarm and some smaller jobs as well. Very polite, cleaned up after the works as well. I have already recommended him to a number of friends.
