So I've been in carpentry since I left school and all other aspects of the building trade. Worked in some beautiful places doing first and second fix carpentry, maintenance and joinery and have good experience in site work private work and construction. I have lots of photos of my work and a full professional 18 volt toolkit so no need for leads trailing all over your property. I'm very polite and hard working and I'm looking to win jobs on here as a way of building my company and gaining clients through reputation. We manufacture and fit certified fire-doors full time. Hi I’m Matthew, I work at a fire door firm, any work I can bring in for myself or the firm is ideal. With new door installs we aim to survey, manufacture & fit within 2 weeks, (door number dependant). Tools & vans & labour is a given. We take on and firedoor works (remedials & new installs) , and any related fire works I.e. firestopping and fire rated partitions / ceilings. We work to a high standard given that fire-doors have strict tolerances and product specifications. We only use the correct products (mastic & A1 / firebatt and blue 60 foam where allowed) and fire-rated ironmongery. We include a report with our works which includes before, during and after photos with any comments / suggestions relating to fire safety. Work in mostly with contracts on care homes and student accommodation, tidiness and quality work is guaranteed - always willing to go back. Working with contracts, there can be breaks in-between phases of works smaller jobs are perfect as well! My teams is respectful, with tons of experience and willing to go the extra mile for tenants/ landlords clients all the same. Years of experiences in the firm - personally been on firedoors full time for 4 years. Have all the related courses, worked on prisons, military bases, care homes , student accommodation all over the UK fitting doors & fire rated partitions ceilings & firestopping works. Work alongside joiners with over 40 years experience and electricians with their own firms. Personal qualifications include: joiner nvq level2 (5yrs), (currently getting my black card), FIRAS certified fire-door fitter, asbestos, manual handling, working at heights, first aider & CRB checked ??. Before I was an apprentice joiner I was a fixer’s apprentice for 2 years (drywall & MF). Work with a number of joiners and electricians, work outside our scope is also welcome! Matthew hung my internal doors and fitted a composite front door. The front door is now broken and an independent professional has said that this is because it was fitted incorrectly and that the door has been measured too big. Mathew is ignoring my calls and emails.
