The basic work was done, but I’d agreed with mark that he does a number of other pieces of work because the price I’d agreed with him was too much for resetting of 30 or so bricks. But before I knew anything about it he’d taken down the scaffolding and packed up claiming he’d done everything possible. I’d paid handsomely for a days work, I got a couple of hours max. Often our work is to Identity and rectify damp issues which arise from the use of modern materials on period properties where breathable materials are imperative for the buildings features and characteristics to function. David, Adam and the team they employed were very good. They talked through every aspect of the job beforehand and made the costs clear in the contract. The construction was of a high quality and all done efficiently. This construction was completed during lockdown and the team adapted and communicated well throughout the process. Everyone who worked on the job was polite and friendly and professional. During the construction there were minor changes needed which were accomodated well, even after completion.
