Lewis Godden took a large sum of money from us on the pretext of materials\expenses. Then he dissapeared and did not answer his phone, or get back to numerous texts and emails, and left a bathroom full of rubble. When my husband called at his home he pretended not to be there, this happened three times. The plumber we have empolyed to clear up Goddens mess informs us that Goddens' work was highly incompetant, and failed some of the most basic tests of good practice. Horror story. House painting and driveway paving. Sadly Michael of Top Notch is dishonest. He started out OK, reasonable quote. Michael wanted me to pay for the cost of labour every week. I was stupid enough to do that. They worked really slowly, and sloppy. In 6 weeks nothing was completed. Drain pipes were removed, not replaced. Drains broken, no paving. I paid the full amount, nothing finished. Michael refused to work without more money. Had to hire a new company to fix mistakes and finish job. Lost money. Very upset.
