AVOID AT ALL COSTS I can't recommend Tom. Previously TH&Jones Ltd he has changed the company name. He has left us with an extension that doesn't meet building regulations and needs to be taken down. Our house unsalable. I have an independent report to support it. Insufficient foundation, no damp course, insufficient insulation, incorrect installation of roof. He said he would rectify if we paid for 'things unquoted' but failed to show exactly what. We haven't heard from him in months. Stay away!!
I am a general builder that has many skills, I have built extentions, fitted kitchens and bathrooms, removed and rebuilt interior walls, fitted windows and doors. We agreed terms and price. Arrived, said they couldn't move everything at that price, so agreed what they could move for the pre-agreed price. Said they had finished but didn't move some garden waste bags because they were too heavy (weight was never a factor when I was quoted originally), but nevermind. Asked to swap the bags for something else lighter and they wouldn't after I was quoted for a full van load with space still in the van. The van arrived with some other items already in there by the way.
