Home Maintenance / Repair

Edward doesn’t didn’t do anything it was his partner who did the steps he was supposed to have been a qualified bricklayer but it took him 11 hours to complete. We made a deal on the phone and then when he came he wanted more money so I agreed another price which was more ben they went off to buy supplies and they came back with a spirit level brush some other tools and wanted me to pay for them. I refused of course. In the end after 11 hours I paid £100 more than was agreed

I am down grading my review because the handyman has not sent me an invoice for £450 as promised, despite promising to do so after I sent him 5 reminders. Yet, the day he fitted the gates he phoned me from B&Q (before he had done the job) and complained that money was going out of his account. He wanted me to pay him in full. I did so on trust. In my experience a handyman will do the job, provide an invoice and then expect payment upon my satifaction with the job. I now no proof of payment.

I am down grading my review because the trader has not sent me an invoice, despite 5 reminders. He phoned me from B&Q after buying the materials for the job and demanded that I pay him in full, £450 an afternoons work. I paid him on trust. He would not accept part payment. Normally a trader provides materials, does the job, gives and invoice and then if you are satisfied then you pay. I am now left with no proof of payment or work gurantee. I have formed the impression that he works for "cash" only.
