    Over priced, was charged initially £259 for a replacement shower. The guys should have had the sense to check the water pressure as a primary check. They didn't do this. Ended up waiting an extra week for a fix. Plus, Jamie charged me an extra £85 to clear a clog and adjust a valve in my attic tank. Avoid.

The price was fully transparent and confirmed with you in advance.

    At the time of the visit, you explained that the shower had become faulty. The water pressure throughout the rest of the property was normal, and there was no indication of a system-wide pressure issue. Because of this, and because the request was for a straightforward replacement, there was no requirement or reason to carry out further diagnostic checks on unrelated parts of the system.

    We take pride in providing clear, upfront pricing and carrying out work exactly as requested by our customers. We are always happy to advise if further investigation is needed, but in this case the scope of work was clear and agreed.

    I strongly disagree. One of your primary checks should be water pressure, and in this, you failed. The original price quoted and paid for was £259, replacement shower unit at cost £109, labour £150. You did replace the shower within just over an hour and twenty minutes. What you did not do is check the pressure. Why was this not done. I have been overcharged and in dealing with Jamie, insulted and he has attempted to make me feel small. From the start I have been made to feel like I am at fault.

    Furthermore, it should have been established at the moment the chaps arrived that I am not the expert. That's why I hired them. If I knew what to do, surely I would do it myself. I hired them because they're meant to do their jobs so I don't screw up.

    Also, it insults all of we customers that this company gets away with this. What really happened was I posted on Rated People for a shower repair or replacement within 14 days. Jamie replied with we'll be there tomorrow at 10am. "Top drawer" I thought. They turned up, fitted like for like and went away. They just put it in place without checking the pressure. All I want is £85 back for Jamie charging me for something he should have diagnosed if he had correctly assessed the system in the first place.

    Jamie has been insulting and rude, not a good business person. Rated People I have a paper trail about this. And in his last text he has stated he's a limited trading entity. I'll take a look. He's not worth the time nor money. Take care.

    One thing I did forget to mention, they no more than a total of 2.5 hours on site. And the second time Jamie arrived I paid an extra £85. Now, if you count the shower, £109 minus the £259 and the work that should have been done in the first place, £85, does £235 overall labour sound fine for 2.5 hours work? What rate of pay are they on?

    I have worked for and with major academics. Professors don't get paid this unless they are the best. Jamie, you ripped me off. All I want is £85 back. Jamie has threatened to counter sue me because he's stressed out. I allowed you in to my home to do a simple job. I gave you access to my personal space. You have been close to threatening. Small Claims?

    Finally got round to get the kitchen and bathroom taps renewed/fixed. Could not be happier with this company and in particular Kenny! Excellent Communication, Kenny answers messages straight away and turns up at the dot. Excellent workmanship, very trustworthy and efficient, even though this was not an easy job with elderly pipes and taps. Very reasonably priced also. Will definitely stick with Plumbing UK.
