Really pleased with the work. Having been let down by 4 other roofing companies it was great to deal with professional and reliable roofers.

Dan came over promptly to assess the job. His quote was very competitive and I was happy for him to go ahead with the work. The work (a complete re-roof using exiting tiles where possible) was carried out through the worst of the February and March weather. I found him and the team to be hard-working, professional and conscientious throughout. I found Dan willing to answer all my queries and he regularly came over to inspect the work. I was very happy with the result & would use them again in the future.

Dan and his team were great to deal with. Good communication throughout the project. Completed a full refurbishment of our roof; we have a Victorian terrace and we wanted something in keeping - maintaining the period features, enhancing the insulation and we had the lead replaced throughout. Price paid as quoted. No nasty surprises despite a slight overrun. We are delighted with the results. As are our neighbours across the road!! Would happily recommend.

Extremely prompt to deliver estimate, very reasonable price, gave excellent advice on the work to be completed. However, it required chasing up to fix a date for the work, and further chasing on the day when contractors were several hours delayed. Still, work was completed quickly and expertly with no unexpected costs and I would recommend their services.

Quick contact and visit to quote. Not the cheapest but seemed most reliable and professional. Came when said, and got the job done. Cost was as per estimate. All in all I'd recommend this business.

Detailed quote provided free of charge even though we offered to pay. Advice and explanations given over the phone were clear and helpful. Work will not be undertaken until post completion so ratings only apply to quote process.

After a delayed start due to inclement weather, the two people who completed the job were polite, efficient and courteous and worked, quickly and quietly without any need for disruption to the household. The work carried out looks good and professional and hopefully will have cured the long standing leak during periods of heavy rain. A good job well done!

The quality of the work was faultless. The workmen overcame problems which were unforseen and worked tirelessly in all weathers. They removed all the rubbish and tidied everything up at the end of the job. I would strongly recommend Daniel and his team to take on any roofing job no matter how challenging (which ours was).

Based on my experience of the man Daniel Ranson of Ranson Roofing & Building. I would not recommend any one to so much as consider using him for any work big or small. Daniel Ranson has not completed the works and is now not responding to any telephone calls or emails. Leaving us with an incomplete extension

We had quotes from 5 roofers as it was a full victorian semi roof we needed re-roofing. Ranson gave the best and most detailed quote, sent samples of materials. I took up the references which were very very good. Daniel Ranson answered all queries in detail. They turned up at 8ish each morning The job was completed on time and Daniel actually saved us money by offering alternative solutions once on the job. Please ensure you at least get a quote from Ranson, superb job. I strongly recommend them.

Hello, I would like to know how much it would be to remove brick cladding from the front of a 2 storey Victoria terrace property. Many thanks

  • Daniel Ranson's Answer

Hello. You would require a full tube and fitting scaffolding to health & safety standards. A site visit would be required to give any costing.

Do I need a planning permission from the local authority? Do I need to employ a company specialised in dealing with commercial building?

  • Daniel Ranson's Answer

No planning permission would be required. From what it sound a good dry-lining company would be your best bet who can partition a wall using metal stud rather than timber stud as this would be a cheaper option.
