Setting the right budget

How much should you expect to pay?

We know it's difficult to estimate how much a project will cost, that's why we've surveyed our tradesmen to give you an idea of how much you should expect to pay for specific jobs. Tradesmen all across the country have contributed to the cost guides, so the costs you see are an approximate national average.

Radiator installation £150 per radiator

When you are installing radiators a large amount of the cost will be down to the radiators themselves, which can range from DIY store basics to salvage yard vintage and modern designer models. The number being installed will also drive costs, along with whether you are putting radiators into an existing central heating system or starting from scratch with a new system.

Adding one more radiator in the spare room or a downstairs bathroom should not take more than a few hours, although this will depend on how your system is set up and the accessibility of pipes. Each radiator that is fitted will need to be measured, hung, set up and fitted into the plumbing system of pipes, which will mean cutting and soldering or sealing pipes. The radiators will also need to be tested as a part of the whole heating system. So you will need to multiply the time taken for one radiator by the number of radiators you are having fitted to give an idea of cost and time.
