Shaver socket

Low High
Shaver socket £50 £150

Having a shaver socket in your bathroom is the only way to safely get power into the room. Regulations do not allow for ordinary plug sockets, so having a shaver socket installed provides a convenient way to power both showers and electric toothbrushes.

You will need an electrician to undertake the job, but it will be a straightforward task for him. He will simply need to drill a hole in the wall for the socket and then attach this to the electrical supply before testing it and then screwing the faceplate to the wall. You should already have electrical wires nearby for lights and bathroom extractor fans, so fitting a shaver socket should not be a lengthy or complex task for your electrician.

Rated People surveyed 67 of our registered bathroom specialists across the country to give you an approximate price for common bathroom installation and repair jobs.

Please note these prices are average, do not include materials and are offered as guidance only to help you when posting a job on Rated People. For an accurate quote based on your specific needs please contact one of our local bathroom specialists.
