The pond now has no chance of the same problem recurring because the filter box has been swapped to a more modern setup and runs very smoothly . I have concerns about the validity of this contractor; I have been advised by an independent contractor that the work is of a poor standard and will need to be rectified. I also have evidence of dishonesty. He told me he needed extra money to replace wooden battens but refused to provide a receipt. Ii have security cameras and it was clear that he had not delivered them. The following day he said that his contractors had 'cut off the rotten bits' and used concrete. I am taking legal action.

AVOID! Mr Art 13 (father&son) ABANDONED our 7-room project. Started 2 beds and a wetroom that now needs redone. After 10 weeks and 50% of the quote PAID, no room was left usable. Gave constant excuses for delays: “prices doubled,” “faulty pipes,” etc. They told us they DON'T CUT CORNERS and explained how coving screws should be filled and sanded, yet they paint over screws, leaving drips on the walls, flooring laid on an uneven base they poured, tiling on a dirty dusty wall, using unfit materials, etc.
