I used the architect and structural engineer Marcin recommended and was pleased with their results. He had a company calculate the cost of the project so there has been no ambiguity about costs from the outset. Do your due diligence on this company and Rob and his son, straight forward garage conversion and mezzanine floor, what a joke key dimensions wrong, workmanship standards not to building code, and will leave your house in an absolute mess, not forgetting wants money up front all the time, be very careful, "good plastering" shame the plasterboard was not to specifications, i have the photos to prove... taken another 6 months to rectify all issues and have buildings control to get to final sign off.

Phil is an excellent tradesman - we had him replace some skirting boards, door frames and picture rails in 2 rooms. He was very reliable, reasonably priced and worked to our budget, his craftsmanship was very good, he was a quick (and tidy) worker, and he gave us plenty of extra advice and tips for other rooms. Additionally, he went out of his way to help us arrange getting some door restored by one of his contacts. Would thoroughly recommend and have saved his details for use in the future! Thanks Phil!
