The price eventually quoted was deemed fair for the job. Given the age of the original post and therefore the weathered state of the brickwork, the finished repair looks great, the quality of the bricklaying and match of the bricks is just fine. He was also able to pull in another job and quote at the same time to replace 3 blown double units in my Mum's conservatory.
