Extractor fan

Extractor fan £50 £200

All bathrooms require ventilation and having an extractor fan is the best way to ensure that yours does not become damp. It should also help you out when it comes to having a shave or applying your make up in the bathroom after a bath or shower.

You will need an electrician to install and fit an extractor fan in your bathroom, which will be attached to the ceiling or high up on a wall. The fan will need to be wired into the electrical supply and it can then have a pull switch attached or be linked to the main bathroom light switch, so that that the fan comes on when the light does.

One of the main parts of this job is to make sure that the fan has somewhere to vent to, which will mean installing ducting that will take the air out of the bathroom and out of the house via a roof or exterior wall.
