You will not require planning permission but you will have to apply for building regulations so you can get certificate from council to prove works have been carried out properly

hi yes if you want later on the room to be count,If you go legal the garage change into additional room so it has to be regesterd! .

Hello Pat, most probably you won't need planning permission but it depends on a few factors so you're best to check with the local planning department (a simple phone call will give you some idea). You'll definately need a Building Warrant for change of use. Cheers, Craig
