Hello Sophie, Simply mix the adhesive up and stick the board on the wall, try to use a 8x4 board this will help you take out any unwanted perfections. I would strongly recommend using an 20mm insulated board if you can this will give you a better insulation value to the room. Your window reveals should have this regardless because that will be your weakest area. Given that it's a soiled wall you should consider putting batten on the walls, then filling between the battens with insulation this will stop the board from being in direct contact with Regards Michael

Dry lining is a process of fixing a wooden or metal frame to a wall , onto the frame a plaster board lining is fixed . It's quite simple and quick on flat surfaces , corners and openings like windows and doors are more complicated .

Hi Sophie Straight forward this one dob an dab walls and fit 8x4 sheets of 12.5mm plasterboard, tape and joint or skim. Couple of things to think about are what type of boards, ie normal, moisture resistant, foil backed, sound or fire proof. Please make sure the solid wall is stable and not damp as there's will need to be addressed first. Window reveals and outside corners need angle beeds etc 10 to 15 mins per board Kind regards Rob rsb and sons

Hi Sophie To dry-line a brick wall you just need a bag/bags of dri-wall adhesive and plasterboard/s and then you simply put dots of dri-wall on the brickwork and press your plasterboard firmly into it and then use a spirit level to make sure it is plumb and flat, then move on to the next board. It takes about 10 mins per 6'x3' board Simples!! thanks Andy

Hi sophie, dry lining an internal brick wall is usually a very simple and quick solution to achieving the flat smooth surface your after. Obviously if there's returns for windows or other angles then the cost may increase but an experienced plasterer would cover the average room in a day Jason fxfinishing.co.uk

Hi, drylining a solid wall is pretty easy but I would recommend insulating it. Look on rated people under builders/ plasterers( or in my case, roofers)! Shouldn't take long but depends on walks and sizes too
