Lighting replacement

Posted by Mark Haythorne, on
Can I replace a 240v bulb fitting with a downlight without a transformer?

Hi Mark, Yes, you can. Some downlights are mains powered (GU10 lamp holder), others need a transformer light up the bulbs (MR16 lamp holders). The only thing you have to take into account is that when you drill the hole for the downlight, you have to make sure there are no joists in the way. Enjoy!
