Hi Betty, I'm sorry to hear that. We are experiencing a high demand of jobs at the moment, particularly following the recent bad weather. Normally, we would suggest updating your job (http://www.ratedpeople.com/c/help#updating-job) with more information if possible and/or modifying your budget. By receiving multiple quotes, you can have confidence that you are being quoted a fair price for the job through comparison. However, since a tradesman has expressed interest in quoting, I'm afraid this isn't possible. If you are not confident that this tradesman is the right man/woman for the job, we would suggest cancelling the job and reposting it with this extra information. For example, the ideal job description should contain the following details: when you want the work to start whether you already have materials the size of the room(s) or affected area(s) the size and type of property whether you have planning permission and/or drawings whether your budget is flexible I hope this helps you. Best Wishes, Natalie The Ask an Expert Team
