Hi Brenda, There are a few options available to you to cover the artex but from experience I would suggest to overboard the current ceiling then plaster. This will cost slightly more but it will give you a much better job and finish and eliminate future problems such as cracking sagging etc. Many thanks Phil Pg Maintenance Services Caerphilly

You can plaster over artex ceilings need scraping back a little apply Pva two coats of finish Any plasterer should be able to give a quote G, branch plastering
