How can I delete my account?

If you would like to request the deletion of your Rated People account, please reach out to the Rated People chatbot, which will raise a case for our Support Team to assist.

Important information about your data

Under UK GDPR and data protection regulations, you have the right to request that your personal data is deleted (often referred to as the “right to be forgotten”). Once your request is received, we will review it and remove or anonymise your personal data where possible.

However, there are certain situations where we may need to retain some information for a limited period of time in order to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.

For example, if you have posted a job within the last 6 years that a tradesperson purchased, we may need to keep some related information on record during that period. This helps us meet our legal obligations, such as resolving disputes, handling complaints, or complying with financial and regulatory requirements.
