How do you calculate the prices of leads?
Lead prices on Rated People are calculated using dynamic pricing, which means the cost of a lead is based on several factors related to the job and the local market.
When a homeowner posts a job, the platform assesses details such as:
- The size and complexity of the job
- The location of the work
- The stage the homeowner is at in the hiring process
- Demand for the specific trade or skills required in that area
These factors help determine the price of the lead before the job goes live on the platform.
Once the job is available to tradespeople, the price of the lead will remain fixed. The only exception is if the lead is discounted at our discretion, in which case the reduced price will be displayed on the platform.
Unlimited membership plans
If you are on an Unlimited membership plan, leads that meet the following criteria will appear as “Included” on your side and will not have a price attached:
- The job falls within the trade selected in your Unlimited plan
- The job has a budget of £4,000 or below
These leads are already covered by your membership, meaning you can express interest without paying an additional lead fee.
Dynamic pricing helps ensure that lead prices are aligned with the value and demand of each job, while keeping the process transparent so tradespeople can see the price before deciding whether to purchase a lead.
