What solar panel grants and loans am I eligible for?
If you have an electricity metre (including prepayment metres) then you should be eligible for a Green Deal Finance Plan. This allows you to spread the cost of your solar panel installations across a 10-25 year period. To apply, you’ll first need to get your property assessed. You can find an assessor here. The initial assessment costs around £100 – £200 and comes with a formal report offering recommendations on energy saving improvements. Once you have the report you’ll be able to apply for a Green Deal Finance Plan.
Until the 31st of March, 2027, the government is helping homeowners improve their energy efficiency by allowing households to pay 0% VAT on the installation of all energy-saving materials. According to the UK, this could save a typical family around £1,000 in installation fees, as well as an additional £300 a year on energy bills.
Lastly, the Government’s Energy Company Obligation scheme (ECO4) is designed to help low-income households save energy. With ECO4, you can apply to have fully-funded or discounted solar panels installed in your home. You can check your eligibility here.

You wouldn’t want a brick layer working of your solar panels, would you? All our work comes with a Workmanship Guarantee and we are covered by our Public liability insurance. We do not use any chemicals or treatment to clean the solar panels and our specialist equipment protects the ARC on the face of the solar panels. Using the wrong equipment could be detrimental to your solar panels. We only use the highest standard of materials for Solar Bird Protection and the correct equipment for carrying out Solar Panel Cleans. Hence why pest control experts stuff chicken wire under the Solar Panels & window cleaners get poor results when they attempt to clean the Solar Panels from the ground with a soft bristle brush. We will be gaining access to the roof without scaffolding, which keeps the cost down and also using the correct equipment to clean the panles that will remove the build up of Lichen, Algae & any pollen / dust whilst still protecting the ARC on the face of the solar panels. We would advise a solar clean once a year, anymore is not necessary. If you wish to have both services completed at the same time, we would be happy to offer a discount.
