Don't bother with Bennbrook. They clearly use inferior products. 3 years in, and one of our window panes has cracked. We're being told it'll be £400 to replace a single pane, because there's been an impact on the pane. There's been no impact, it's just an excuse to avoid replacing it under warranty.

We thank you for your comments, but the fact is the pictures obtained from site and sent to the manufactures clearly shows an impact on the glass unit most like caused by a stone or something similar being thrown at the window this would be covered under your house insurance

    • HOMEOWNER, 28/10/2022 20:15

The crack is on the inside. And have you ever seen an object strike a window and not make a mark on it? Just crack it? And a crack in a single, straight line? Have you even seen the pictures?

    • HOMEOWNER, 28/10/2022 20:26

The "impact" mark I think you're referring to is where a small piece of glass has chipped off as one side of the crack has moved against the other side. This is why the mark has a clean edge. How would that be possible from an impact? I'm happy to take further pictures, and I'm more than happy for someone to come and inspect it, but I won't be paying to replace a faulty product.

    Conservatory

Extremely helpful from the first, prompt response with a very helpful, friendly manner. We were offered sound advice. The company went out of their way to help, but we decided not to go ahead as checking if a conservatory could provide an alternative solution to expensive extension. Due to height of patio which needs excavating & the need to move a drain, not much difference in cost between the two.
