Setting the right budget

How much should you expect to pay?

Always first ask your gardener before you decide upon moving any hedges or bushes, as there may be legal considerations to take into account. These can be issues of protection under the law (as with trees), but you should also take into account the time of year, as birds may be nesting in the hedge or bush and it is illegal to move or destroy these nests.

You should also check with neighbours before removing any fences that form a border between your properties, as they may have fencing on the other side that may be damaged. This will also help to cut down on any potential border disputes later on.
