Hi mark The ready mix stuff in tubs in those places in rubbish best to mix your own I use 3 parts sand 1 part lime 1 part cement if you need the mortar dark use rugby cement or you can dye it

Can anyone recommend a product from B&Q, wickes etc to be used for pointing a few small areas in my brickwork. is there anything i can just add water & put on?

Agree with Sean the ready mix is useless more practical to mix your own
