I would like to put an offer in on a house I have recently viewed. however the front on the house has been extended and as a consequence the whole front of the property is covered in calcified efflorescence. The estate agent says this is the original surface (built in 1970) but even my Shih Tzus can see the difference in the brickwork/colour etc and it is definitely an addition. Its a shame as the bricks are a lovely red colour but sadly all the surfaces have the white bloom. Not seen on any other surface of the house. I have researched extensively why and how it happens and ways to try and remove it but can anyone advise me as to how much it would cost to have a company remove it and will it return. Very grateful for any responses
