Garden wall needing restoration.

Posted by Sue Fox, on
The front brick wall between me and my neighbour has collapsed due to a self seeded buddleia which has broken through. I have had the tree taken down as far possible without the wall collapsing. unfortunately my neighbour has had the bricks taken away. The wall is approximately 40years old and is 5/6 metres long and about 1.5 metres high. Although the wall belongs to her we have agreed to pay for the restoration/replacement if necessary-.

It sounds like you need the whole wall taking down and any roots from that Buddleia completely removing. New footings will have to be dug to ensure the strength of the new wall. As for the bricks, they can be matched with what you have left from a reclamation supplier or the other alternative is to get new bricks that blend with the originals. Its a case of being able to source and availability. Post the job on Rated People and get a few quotes.
