Repointing needed in a hard to reach area

Posted by Tom S, on
We have an area of exterior wall that needs repointing due to age & a leaky gutter (this has now been fixed). However the wall backs onto another property - there is a slim gap inbetween maybe 18" to 24". How is anyone going to be able to get in to repoint? Is it possible? Reluctant to ring a builder in case they just say no! Definitely no room for scaffolding. What shall we do?

You will have to find a very willing and nimble roofer or bricklayer to have a have a look at the property and then there should be enough gap to put a ladder up and re-point the brickwork of the ladder. While the ladder would be steep it would also be safe as there won’t be anywhere for the ladder to fall. Hope this helps Liam
