Shall I pay deposit to trades person's bank directly they are asking?

I was contacted by phone and provided quote on whatapp. They are asking 40% deposit on phone. Shall I pay them? How can I trust them? Their profile is accredited on rated people? They want to start work tomorrow and I also need it done tomorrow. I think the help line from rated people would take 2 days so would appreciate expert advice soon.
