Hi Bill, it seems to me that none of the waterproof materials were used while doing your shower or the fabric joints were not sealed properly. There are not many options I am afraid, you need to either get the contractor re-do it properly and supervise constantly, or get a trustworthy contractor making the previous one to compensate...
