Removing pebbledash

Posted by J , on
I am interested in having the pebbledash removed from the front and rear of my house, but I'm in a mid terrace where both houses either side are also pebbledashed. My question is threefold: 1. Is it possible to remove it from my property without damaging the adjoining houses? 2. Is there any way to judge whether there is decent brickwork underneath before you start to remove the pebbledash? 3. Is anyone able to advise on a rough ballpark cost given that the house is a small 3 bed, mid terrace 1930's property with pebbledash from the base of the ground floor window sill up to the roof.

Yes this can be done but you will need to do a straight cut up and down with an angle grinder - I very much doubt that you will be able to restore the brickwork or blockwork underneath - consider re- rendering or cladding with cement board
