The house had been displaying signs of excessive internal plaster cracking over the last 3-6 months - after a visit from a structural engineer he has recommended that there is one particular area of brickwork that needs to be exposed for further checking by him to see if the base of a steel lattice column is corroded (the house is a steel lattice framework of 1950's vintage) .
I have no idea what the work would cost just for exposing the brickwork only (nothing else) so I cannot set a budget. Can someone suggest what this sort of work may cost?
