I have 2 questions/issues:
1. I have a damp spot in our house (looks like rising damp). The previous owners knocked out a wall to insert some french doors, and I believe the builders damaged the damp proof course in the process, but not sure.
2. I also have a wall where it appears that I may have penetrating damp.
Both these walls are in the kitchen, where the outside ground level is slightly higher than the inside of the house.
What I am looking for is an expert to come and do a (hopefully free) survey and quote to fix the issues.
