Tradesman asked Rated people for a credit, after we paid the deposit

We’ve made a 50% advance payment to the trader and he confirmed and sent us their invoice.
Today we’ve received an email from Rated People asking us to confirm that trader were not given the opportunity to quote on his job.
Should we be concerned about this?
Any advice would be appreciated.
